First of all, resistance training but make it fun. Water makes everything more challenging without putting pressure on your joints, which means less knee pain and more booty gains.

Before you get into the exercises, I found a pretty beginner-friendly YouTube video with some similar moves because I know most of ya’ll are visual:
You don’t need to swim like an Olympian. You just need to move. Try these simple but effective moves baby girl:
🍑 1. Tread & Twerk
Tread water in place for 1 minute, then alternate slow underwater booty pops.
Repeat until your abs and cheeks are on fire. Bonus points if your playlist is ratchet.
💦 2. Jump & Jack It Up
Do jumping jacks in waist-deep water. The resistance makes it feel like HIIT but in a cute way.
Go for 30 seconds on, 30 seconds off. 4 rounds = cardio complete.
🦵🏽 3. Glute Kickbacks on the Wall
Hold onto the side of the pool and kick one leg straight back and up.
Do 12 reps per leg for 3 rounds. Your booty will thank you.
🧘🏽♀️ 4. Water Walks
Walk across the shallow end like it’s a runway. Walk backward too for extra core work.
Look cute. Add shades. Work that body.
💥 5. Squat Bounces
Squat low in the shallow end and bounce up without fully standing.
Great for legs, core, and giving “summer body loading.”

You’ll need:
- A cute swimsuit that stays in place
- A slick ponytail or braids (we’re not frying our hair in chlorine)
- Waterproof lip gloss (optional, but encouraged)
